Mrs. Leith focuses on personal injury litigation, and her practice has a primary focus on Motor Vehicle Accidents, Accident Benefit claims, Long Term Disability disputes, and Occupier’s Liability cases. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2007 and returned to article in 2008. Sonia has been practicing at the firm as an associate since 2009. Sonia regularly conducts Examinations for Discovery, Mediations and has appeared at Motions, Hearings and Arbitrations for her clients at the Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Small Claims Court, Landlord Tenant Board, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, and CPP Appeal Board. Sonia cultivated her advocacy skills during her time at law school at the University of Western Ontario by competing in various competitions including the prestigious Arnup Cup, an Ontario-wide trial advocacy competition, and the Corporate/Securities Law Moot, a national appellate advocacy competition. Sonia received the London Life Insurance Company award in 2007 recognizing her academic achievement in Insurance Law. Sonia received an Honors degree in Political Science from Western in 2005 and graduated as the Gold Medalist.
